Performance and revenge in tango:)

On 3rd November, the tango exhibition finished successfully, and my performance with my teacher was not bad according to my friends. For my part, I couldn't do my best, and I'll revenge with similar dance(but the same version) on 24th of this month. Indeed, this will be my tango teachers' 6th anniversary party of opening their classroom in Ebisu.

I'll upload my better performance in near future:)

How to communicate in disaster?

Thousands of people near NYC were influenced by the recent disaster called Sandy, according to the  news resources, and we find some notification about how to communicate in such disaster. One of the useful method would be to use social networks like Facebook or twitter, which were introduced some years ago. Here is a quote from NYTimes:
With Hurricane Sandy, public officials and government agencies have embraced social media to a greater degree than ever. For proof, look no further than the Twitter feed of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York: 400 messages on Tuesday, 300 on Wednesday and well over 100 on Thursday, featuring everything from photos of storm surge damage to updates on power restoration.
It should be true. Indeed, I normally promise to use such social network tools in case of the huge disasters for my family, after the Tohoku disaster in March2011 of Japan. This is because many IT-engineers made their efforts to keep the infrastructure of  the environment, and also the architecture of internet was very strong even in such bad situation.

Additionally, what I'd like to notice now is what we should believe in, I assume. Shortly after the huge disaster on 11March2011 of Tohoku, many demagogs were heard from many sources including mass-media...

The sound of electronic/magnetic wave ...?

As reading science article in French web-site, I found an interesting movies in this site(in French). Generally speaking, we cannot hear the sound in the space of universe, but electronic and magnetic waves are propagated there.  The latter waves are fulfilled in the universe, and we can hear the "sound" by transforming waves from electronic and magnetics to sounds. Here is the "sound":

On the other hand, here is a weeping sound of guinea pig:

Are they resemblant:)?

New iPhone would be delayed too long..

They started to sell new iPhone, which was called iPhone 5, on 21st September in Japan, and I reserved it on the next day in one of major carrier of cellular phone. A store staff indicated that we could acquire it almost after 2 weeks ago, but no announce was delivered to me.
So, I went there to ask about my reserving status. According to the staff, it will take more 2 weeks, and totally it might take one month from reserving to acquire new cellular phone...

On the other hand, one of my friend could get the same model of iPhone by reserving electronics retail store last week.

Tim Cook, who is current CEO of Apple Inc., was in charge of supply chain management of Apple products, and then so I expected I could get more earlier...

Too many people...:(

As planned in my blog previously, I went to the park to eat various food in Hokkaido with my friend, but there were too many people in Yoyogi park.

As you can see the picture below, there too many people...

Also, here is a picture below, and they can buy burned carbs. Actually, they smell so good:)

But it'll take about 3 hours to eat the crabs, i.e. we have to line up to take them...
It was too long for us, and I bought "Ikura" which is salmon caviers.

According to the explanation, we have to freeze it, and indeed a shopper wrapped with old newspaper, and it kept frozen status. After purchasing it, we went to a restaurant near Harajuku station, and ate Yakiniku-lunch:)

Although we've not accomplished our plans, we compromised all of the events. Anyway, today was a funny holiday:)

Food exhibition in Yoyogi park

One of my friend invited us to come to "Food exhibition" held in Yoyogi park. Indeed, I wanted to go there:)

After taking some pictures, I'll upload them here:)

Design for commodity

Reading an article about soy-sauce dispenser some months ago, I was so shocked, because such commodities should be same, I assumed. Of course it comes from my unfamiliarity with general design context, but I didn't know the world of industrial design very much. Here's  a quotation from the site of NYTimes:
“Faced with that nothingness, I felt a great nostalgia for human culture,” he recalled from the offices of G. K. Design, the firm he co-founded in Tokyo in 1952. “I needed something to touch, to look at,” he added. “Right then I decided to be a maker of things.”
When I introduced this article to my friends in Facebook page, some of them advised me that it is very famous people in industrial design, and also they said he was so famous there. According to the G.K. Design web-page, there is an office in Mejiro, which is near my university. (Unfortunately, I've never been there...)

Also, the designer answered to the interviewer like...
Why soy sauce? I was studying oil painting, but my interests changed. Because oil paintings European in origin, and sumi painting is from China. Then I went to Paris for a month, and I was very sick, but when I ate soy sauce, my condition improved.
As my major was mathematics in college/graduate school, I knew some people who were interested in both pure mathematics and applied. But, I'm too unfamiliar in design/art context to imagine how such people are interested in. At least, almost painters seemed to me that they were not concerned about actual industry... As we can see the web-site of G.K. Design as above, I'd like to go there if possible.

How Starbucks Saved My Life

The other day, I've already read this book, whose title is "How Starbucks Saved My Life." The author dismissed his jobs after 60 years old, and he began to work at Starbucks coffee shop.

The reason to choose this book is mainly for my study in English. This book doesn't need so many vocabulary, and I'd like to recommend it for people who would like to improve their English reading skill.

In the middle, the author communicates his daughter about his job, and he was shocked at her criticism.. It seemed to me that it is much typical family father... If it is written in Japanese-mother language-, I won't purchase it because it's easily imaginable. I might give a book once-over...
